As our Maintenance Manager, you will be independent, proactive and reliable, keeping our venues running smoothly and operating between all 7 of our London sites (all within zone 1). This is a 48-hour contract, full-time position. Work starts early in the morning, usually 7-8am.

We have 2 restaurants in Oxford Circus, 2 in The Shard, 1 in Azzurra, 1 in Covent Garden and 1 in Broadgate Circle (Liverpool Street).

Your day at Aqua:


The Maintenance Manager oversees all maintenance operations across multiple restaurant venues, ensuring that buildings, equipment, and systems are safe, fully operational, and maintained to a high standard. This role requires a proactive and hands-on individual who can manage both reactive and preventative maintenance in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

  • Oversee maintenance activities across multiple restaurant venues, ensuring high operational standards
  • Supervise and coordinate the maintenance team to ensure work is completed efficiently and safely
  • Monitor and maintain boilers, control systems, ventilation, and other mechanical equipment
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained, repairing or replacing faulty components when required
  • Maintain lighting systems and general electrical fixtures across all venues
  • Support or carry out weekly fire alarm testing and ensure accurate record keeping
  • Maintain pumps, plant equipment, drainage, and sewage systems to ensure full functionality
  • Carry out general building maintenance including repairs and replacements of fixtures and furniture
  • Liaise with external contractors, suppliers, landlords, and building management when required
  • Ensure all statutory compliance records and maintenance documentation are up to date
  • Log and report maintenance issues, escalating where necessary
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Health & Safety policies and ensure compliance at all times
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulations including Electricity at Work Regulations
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment across all venues
  • Ensure management teams are aware of key building systems and isolation points
  • Support coordination with building security where required
  • Ensure all systems across venues are functioning safely and efficiently
  • Obtain permits and approvals for contractor work where necessary
  • Manage contractor invoices and payments, ensuring correct processing
  • Source and purchase maintenance materials, tools, and equipment
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
  • Monitor warranties and service agreements for equipment
  • Support and manage small maintenance-related projects and upgrades
  • Contribute to projects that support the company’s growth and development
  • Assist in preparing and managing the annual maintenance budget
  • Act as a key point of contact for maintenance-related emergencies
  • Ad hoc tasks as per business needs
